What our 2014 graduates have to say.
Location and a comprehensive and well rounded program were the topics that were vitally important to me when I began looking into Pilates training programs. I was looking for a Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) registered program that was taught on site versus on line, and would not require a long commute or flight to reach the teaching facility. I was not interested in an on line program with periodic visits to the teaching venue but rather was looking for a program which presented a positive learning environment, with active and frequent personal interaction between student and teacher.
While location was important to me - the comprehensiveness and quality of the program was an equally strong criteria. Already a long time Pilates student, I wanted to teach and share the wonderful benefits of Pilates with others. In order to do this well, I wanted to understand more about the body and how it moves to perform the Pilates movements. I have always had a never ending desire to understand the “why’s” behind things, so I knew I needed a program which would not only provide a comprehensive approach to learning the movements & apparatus, but would also provide a reinforcement and feedback mechanism that would support my ability to to really understand the “ what, why and how's” of Pilates in order to become the teacher I wanted to become.
The Marlborough Pilates Teacher Training Program met my expectations as a student as it provided a well rounded, comprehensive program.
Deb G, 2014 graduate of MPTTP
Deb is now a popular Pilates Teacher at Marlborough Pilates Studio Plus as well as at a local community center.
I was delighted to find that Marlborough Pilates Studio Plus offered a teacher training course. As soon as I arrived and met Mary Beth I knew immediately that this was the right program for me. The small studio environment was perfect for working closely with Mary Beth observing and taking many of her classes. The opportunity to organize and begin teaching my own small classes was by far the best way to put my skills into practice and give me the confidence I needed to complete the program and feel ready to teach on my own.
Tiggy S, 2014 graduate MPTTP
Tiggy is a Holistic Health Coach & Yoga teacher who now can offer Pilates instruction to her clients.
