We know that starting an new exercise program can be intimidating and a bit overwhelming. It is our goal to make you feel at ease in our studio. We know that you are going to love your workouts here at Marlborough Pilates Studio Plus. We strive to provide you with the very best instruction so that you can get the most out of your experience in the studio as well as learn how to “take it with you”. We try to keep things simple at the studio and seek to be as accommodating as we can so that you can make Pilates, Spinning and Yoga a regular part of your week.
In addition to a full studio of equipment, we provide towels, water, mats, a friendly welcome, and we even have socks for sale if you forget yours. We know that keeping a commitment to exercise can be challenging for people with a busy schedule so we don’t want you to have to worry about bringing anything. We clean up and wipe each mat and piece of equipment after your session for you so that you can get right back to your day. Please give yourself the gift of “being present” during your sessions, we’ll take care of everything else.
Our Teachers plan classes according to who is scheduled to be in attendance. Please communicate any schedule changes that you need to make at least 8 hours prior to your class or appointment. We hope you will keep us informed of any injuries or “issues” you may be experiencing that could affect your session so that we can plan any modifications or props you may need.
Pilates provides a safe, effective, low-impact exercise program that naturally decompresses your spine and balances your muscles. Pilates is a "practice" vs. simply a "workout" where improvement can and will always occur. We continuously address the fundamentals through verbal and tactile correction of your form and posture while reminding you of what needs to be done and how to do that in your own body. We guide, suggest, and teach "ideal" Pilates alignment throughout every class. We often say that it’s about “progress not perfection”. Achieving the ideal form takes time and is always a work in progress where you are enjoying the journey and reaping the benefits of a sound Pilates Practice. Spinning is a great partner for Pilates. It is a safe, low impact cardio workout that is most of all fun!
Marlborough Pilates Studio Plus exists for you. It brings us great joy to know that we are helping people live happier, healthier lives. That’s what makes us “jump out of bed” in the morning and get to “work”…although it doesn’t feel like work at all.
