Favorite food? My favorite food to prepare is whatever all of my children will eat without bellyaching. My favorite food that I never tire of eating is pizza.
Favorite Sports Team? Refer back to the answer to question 1 and you could probably figure out that my favorite team is the Red Sox.
Why did you start Pilates? I chose Pilates as cross training for my running. Great cross training because it is non-impact (saving my knees & other joints) and the mindfulness of Pilates is the opposite of what I do on a long run - let my mind wander. No mind wandering in Pilates. I like to say "Don't just move. Think." In running, I don't think, I just move.
Why did you become a Pilates teacher? I became an instructor because I wanted to share with others how much Pilates can help them in their daily lives, regardless of where their bodies are at currently.
What would your clients be surprised to know about you? People might be surprised to find out that I sang at Carnegie Hall. Well, only once and as a member of a 200 person choir, but it still counts.
Do you have a favorite musical artist or genre? If you have been to one of my classes, you know that my music crosses many genres. I especially enjoy music with strong vocal harmonies. If you've never heard the The Wailin' Jennys check them out on YouTube.
Favorite Pilates exercise - that's a tough question. The answer would have to be whatever my body needs most at that moment. After a long run, I LOVE spine stretch. If I've been sitting for an extended period of time, swan is my favorite. The list goes on and on.
