As we continue to celebrate May as Posture Month, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite posture exercises on the Ladder Barrel. When I arrived at the studio last week, I didn’t have a plan for the exercises I would do, I just hopped on the Ladder Barrel and moved my body the way that felt right that day. As is typical for me, I choose exercises that strengthen my hamstrings, mobilize my thoracic spine and stretch my hip flexors.
Now that I have a Ladder Barrel in the studio, I feel so spoiled and my body really appreciates the daily pampering. Many of the exercises you see in this video are some that we do on the Reformer using the Long Box or Arc, but I really love the way I can hook my feet onto the rungs of the ladder while going through the movements.
